Joshua R. Kersey

About Josh

Joshua Kersey has practiced in the area of labor and employment law his entire career. He originally joined the firm in 2010 as a law clerk, becoming an associate attorney upon his admission to The Florida Bar in 2011. In 2013 he traveled to Dallas, Texas where he gained admission to the State of Texas Bar. During his time in Texas, Mr. Kersey represented several national and international labor unions, while continuing to represent plaintiffs in a wide range of employment-related litigation. Before rejoining the Sass Law Firm in 2016, Mr. Kersey returned to Florida and began advising local, national and international employers as to best employment practices. He also represented those employers in court and before a variety of administrative agencies at every level in more than 12 states across the country. Mr. Kersey has been invited to speak at employment law educational conferences hosted by the National Employment Lawyer’s Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the National Business Institute. He graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2010, and from Florida State University in 2007. Mr. Kersey is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Northern District of Texas. Mr. Kersey is a member of The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law Section, and is also a member of the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Employment Lawyers, also known as Florida NELA.
