Honors
- The J. Ben Watkins Award from Stetson University College of Law. The J. Ben Watkins Award honors individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and accomplishment in the legal community.
- The Florida Bar President’s Award for Pro Bono Service. Ms. Palchak was one of 21 Lawyers (of the 106,000 Members of the Florida Bar) who were honored for pro bono service at the Florida Supreme Court on January 25, 2018. At that time Ms. Palchak had given away over 5,500 hours of pro bono, Ms. Palchak’s work was recognized for helping the most vulnerable in society. “There is much yet to do,” she said. “If we can help, we should help.” As of today Ms. Palchak has well exceed 8200 hours of pro bono.

- The Law Office of Jo Ann Palchak, P.A., White Collar Criminal Defense and complex civil litigation boutique. As a solo practitioner Ms. Palchak litigated in state and federal court, served as an outside general counsel, represented clients in arbitrations and mediations, spoke at numerous conferences and held leadership positions in several voluntary bar associations.
- Zuckerman Spaeder, LLP, prominent White Collar Defense and Complex Civil Litigation Firm. Ms. Palchak handled a variety of white collar criminal defense matters, performed internal investigations, originated significant criminal defense matters and won several awards.
- The Second District Court of Appeal – Law Clerk to the Hon. Darryl C. Casanueva. Ms. Palchak’s duties included reviewing the record, assisting the Court in preparation of oral argument, presenting the briefs in oral arguments waived, and preforming legal research.
- The Law Office of Juliane Holt, 13th Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office Hillsborough County – Ms. Palchak worked in the misdemeanor, juvenile and felony divisions and was the Office’s subject matter expert on motions to suppress and statutory interpretation.
- Oracle Corporation – Ms. Palchak worked as a software engineer in the Bug Diagnostics and escalation group working on mission critical databases.
- Westinghouse Electric/Seimens Ms. Palchak worked in technical systems support for large powerplant projects involving both steam and combustion engines.
